2009 Fund Recipients
The Cedar Ridge Pops committee is pleased to announce that the theme
of the 2009 concert will be:
"Fighting Cancer in Huronia"
Funds raised at the 2009 Cedar Ridge Pops will be allocated to the
following organizations:
Gilda's Club Barrie

Gilda's Club is in the exciting process of planning for the opening
of a facility in Huronia that will create welcoming communities of
free support for everyone living with cancer - men, women, teens and
children - along with their families and friends.
Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care,
providing networking and support groups, workshops, education and
social activities.
R.V.H.'s future Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre

The Cancer System Navigation Expert (CSNE) program facilitates
knowledge transfer, information sharing and access across the cancer
system in North Simcoe Muskoka. Navigating a cancer diagnosis is
challenging for patient, families and health care providers. The
CSNE program will bridge gaps and result in enhanced quality of
care, improved access to treatment and better patient outcomes.
Funding from this year’s Cedar Ridge Pops event will ensure that
this crucial program continues until the Cancer Centre is built. |
